Default Which way do I spin the shaft??

I am trying to preoil the engine by spinning the oil pump shaft with a drill and an old distributor. I have removed the cam gear and will be using a drill. My question is do I spin it clockwise or counterclockwise on the 5.0/302?

Spin it the same direction as your firing order goes around the distributor cap.

I know it can shoot 6 feet and hit hard. Moral: Make sure your hoses have clamps on them when testing a pump on the workbench.

ps: yes, CCW. You'll feel when the pump starts delivering oil as your drill will load down quite a bit.
