Default Sonoma County Tour de Vin Registration Now Open

Tour de Vin Saturday, July 25th The BAAC and North Bay Cobras are holding the annual Tour de Vin on July 25th in the Dry Creek area of Sonoma County. The cost is $30 (plus refundable tasting fees) which includes a catered BBQ and raffle. Room costs, of course, are additional.

If you are coming from out of the area and plan to spend the night, please make sure you make room reservations at the Santa Rosa Best Western quickly, as the rooms will be released on June 25th. You should also print out the registration form from the BACC Events website and mail it in along with your check, ASAP.

Full details on the event, rooms and registration are available at www.baccevents.com

Tour Overview
Tour de Vin is a social driving event.

Starting from a selected location, the 40 or so Cobras (that's been the average attendance) will be broken up into 3 groups. Each group will have a leader to help keep folks from getting lost. 3 area wineries have been selected and scenic/fun routes have been mapped out. Each group will head to a different winery taking the selected 20-30 minute route . Once at the winery the group will have about 1 hour to socialize and taste . The groups will then leave for the next winery and usually will pass one of the other groups along their way. The end result is 40+ Cobras traversing the local roads for about 3 hours. Once the groups have visited all three wineries the groups will make their way to the final stop, the traditional Tour de Vin BBQ, where you can eat dinner and socialize.

NOTE: YOU DON'T HAVE TO DRINK WINE TO ENJOY TOUR de VIN, THIS IS A SOCIAL EVENT AND NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS WILL BE AVAILABLE

This will be a fun event for all. Please don't delay in mailing your check and registration. Make sure to include your email address on the registration form and we will email you the event schedule, route info, maps, etc. when they have been finalized.

If (after checking our the BACC Events website) you still have unanswered questions, please reply via a PM (w/ email address or phone number). Someone will respond to you shortly.

I contacted Best Western Garden Inn's "Group Rate" reservation agent; still 7 kings left.

The kids won't fit in the trunk.

We will be back in time for the Sonoma Classic the following weekend!

Hi Bill,

I'm not sure what the drive plans are yet. I think a group of us normally depart from Rock House and drive up together. If you don't want to drive down to Livermore and backtrack we could probably plan on meeting somewhere off of Hwy 680 in Concord. I'm open to other ideas though. Just let me know.

Chris

We will find the group on 680 someplace. Looking forward to the outing, as we have been very busy past few months. Thanks for the answer. Bill& Di

Bill, that's going to be the generic meeting place for us South Bay'ers ? What time do you think I should be there. I don't have any info as to when things begin.

Default Thanks Christine & Dan - & Some Photos

About 40 couples participated in the annual Tour de Vin held yesterday in the beautiful Dry Creek area of Sonoma County. Thanks to the organizational efforts of Christine and Dan Schieberl, backed up by Mike "Monster" Viramontes, the event went smoothly and everyone had a fabulous time. Christine added some personal touches by etching glasses and presentation bottles of wines obtained from the participating wineries. Those who won these keepsake prizes will long remember this event. The catered BBQ was a smash hit as well. Here are a few pictures I took during the "Tour".
