General FYI

I haven't seen DV online in a couple days and got a little concerned. Just got off the phone with him and everything is alright. His internet connection is down

He said if anybody has been trying to get ahold of him, call his house or cell. If you need the number, PM me...

Ya... got it. Sorry for the delay. Got back from DVs yesterday and had guys here ripping up my driveway to lay a new one down.

Can you post a list of what items you are looking for and I'll see if I have anything. Or I can at least tell you where I sourced my parts from.

DV

Any word from Bakker on when they'd be ready to do the carpet? Do I need to call Kris? I'm standing at the ready to come over and trailer the car down to Muskegon

As usual....he hasn't called me! I'll get him today!
DV
PS Lost a day and a half on the door openers! Unfortunately they will not work the way you, me or any female would want. Waaayyy to much pressure needed to open them! I can pull the cable with one finger and thumb, but add the prety button and it is a nightmare to open. Getting new handles today from our Buddy-made a "Corporate" decision on the new handles!

No problems from me on "corporate decisions" whatever works best and doesn't take a year in custom fabrication

Chad,
Funny part is after all the derogatory remarks about those bycycle cables (stainless steel) the exspensive "Watkins" handles used the same cables! I picked up some "real" handles at our auto parts store and will make them work. I think you are going to like them.
By the way did you call Chris (Bakker) at the upholsterers? He called me and thinks Tuesday will be good. I have to call him Monday for a confirmnation.
DV

I'll take some pictures putting them in

I didn't call Chris and its good that I didn't have to. I'm available every day but Monday to make the trip over to get the car to his place... Just give me the word

Jim, nothing new for pics yet, fired up cpteddies today-first time in months, with his new start system and with the sidepipes on--- darnnnnnn-golly-geeeeeeeeeee!

Going for Carpet Tues or Weds. New handles for the doors in by Tuesday-I hope- will have pictures of those. Other than that, it is searching for bugs and doing final wiring connections; two start computers-one small tranny computer, three fuse boxes, etc.,etc., lighting systems-all the final stuff!
DV
PS Also found a small gas leak on one of the fittings tonight! 'SMALL' - is that like a little pregnant!?

DV, Thanks for the reply when you seem to be busiest. "Small gas leak=kinda pregnant?" Only if the car catches on fire. You caught if before anything happened so that's what matters. All of us who are sharing this build vicareously (sp?) will just have to wait for the pics. Hope you had a great 4th and got out of the garage long enough to see some fireworks.

Jim

Not much to look at, but this is cpteddies rear mounts for his seats. The angle I welded in is so his seat fits flush to the floor in front and the rear part of the seat is now flush.

DV
PS Left last night a little after 10P, just in time to watch the Boston Pops extravaganze!
