Csx 2254 & aaca
First time that I recall, a Cobra, 1965 CSX 2254, is on the cover of the AACA Magazine( Sept/Oct), which is not available on-line. The article recaps the history as written by the present owner, William Bartels.
Excerpts:
" Guardsman Blue ( re-paint ), white stripes, white side exhaust,( re-fitted ) eight Weber carburetors/289, Halibrand knock-off wheels . Cobra was in two movies: Viva Las Vegas starring Elvis Presley and Ann Margaret and The Killers starring Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson, having been leased to MGM studios by Carroll Shelby. Upon the return of the car to Shelby, it was given its first title and sold as a 1965 model. Being a car built in 1963, it is a very early Cobra . "
" The color of the car was the original white with black upholstery, as received from AC. Quote from the owner, who purchased from a private collector in April 2004 with 5,800 miles: "
" While values of Cobras continue to sky rocket, I have no plans to sell regardless of market appreciation '"
