Central Arkansas Cobra Owners
I have recently finished by build and I have noticed a number of Cobras on the road locally. I was wondering if there were any others in this area that would like to start or be a part of a Cobra club and organize and/or take part in cruises in this beautiful state!

I'm with the Gateway Cobra Club in St. Louis. We are coming down to Harrison, AR 11/5 - 11/8 and will be cruising Hwy 23, 7, 21 and others on 11/6 and 11/7. You're more than welcome to join us if not too far for you.

Sounds great. How can I get more information to try to make plans? Too bad it will be after the foliage change in that area. Also, you don't think the weather will be rather chilly? (Never too cold for me but my co-pilot may complain!)
By the way, nice website.

Hey Tradingup, looks like we're very close. I had to drive around for about 2 hours last night to get it out of my system because of the absolutely beautiful weather.
I am just beginning to put together some ideas concerning a cruise or club in this area and am mostly looking to find out the interest.
I would love to make a trip up hwy 10 over Petit jean mnt and then up Nebo then back. Maybe a longer run to include Magizine.

I was at Mt. Nebo 11/3/07 when this picture was taken:
As you can see, the colors were just starting to change, and this is what I based the trip on. However, I hadn't planned on the weather being so wet down there as it has been. So, you may be right in that the leaves will be gone. Temps, again, basing on average temps for the area of highs in the mid to upper 50's and low's in the low 40's. If you dress in layers, and buy this from Summit for the better half - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MXI-20013/ - you should be ok. PM me if you want to know where we are staying. We will be cruising Friday 8am to 4:30pm from Harrison, Eureka Springs, Ozark, Mt. Magazine and back. On Saturday, we will be headed East out of Harrison with stops in Mt. View and others along that route.

I know exactly where that picture was taken. I'm supprised you didn't capture the nuclear plant in the background.
I won't know if I can make it unit it gets a little closer, but I'll plan on it and keep that weekend open if possible.
Let me know where you all are staying and I'll check into reserving another room.
Does everyone in your group trailer their cars to the hotel, or drive them?

We will have 4 cars being trailered down, 5 will be driving down. I will PM you our hotel details. The picture was taken on the East end of the mountain (sunrise point) and back towards the mountain, that's the reason the nuclear plant didn't show in the picture. Bryan, would love to, however we will be heading back to St. Louis 11/8. If your invitation is open for that weekend, we may take you up on it though. Will forewarn you though, we are a diverse group of SPF's, F5R's, B&B etc.... in other words, as long as a Co$ra is a Co$ra

Hey Tim,
why didn't you let me know about this cruise? It is a stones throw from Tulsa and a few of us over here might join up with you guys! Send me some details on hotels and times and I can pass it around to some of our guys.
By the way I will see you next week!

B - Our trip will start us in Harrison, to Mt. Magazine via route 23, then back to Harrison. I hope to eat lunch there on Friday. Great pics, I'm hoping we can get some of the same. Our Saturday cruise map:

Bryan - What about Saturday or Sunday, will you be at your shop? Also, is it still a gravel road to your place?

Great Idea on the Summit electric blanket. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MXI-20013 She will like this. I put a 12V terminal strip under the dash for things like this. I used to ride a motorcycle and have a Widder electric vest and figured I could use it in the car...... That was a few pounds ago and now I cannot zip the damn thing up! I am on a diet now so I should be able to get into it in the not too distant future I hope. At any rate thanks for mentioning the blanket.

Thanks Clois for the thread. My wife and I plan to trailer the Road Rocket to Branson in Nov. Want to go to Eureka Springs and back via the Mark Twain Natl Forrest. Any suggested routes to take?

Branson Trip
Thanks for the trip-tip PurpleVenom. That looks like a beautiful drive. How are those roads? Looks like you could break it up into 2 separate day trips.
We probably can't be there for the Nov 6 & 7; I'm supposed to be in OKC that weekend for events planned a year ago.
I sure hope to stay connected with y'all as there is some beautiful country over there and the Road Rocket sure needs to get out and breath a little. Do y'all have a regular cruise-n-graze schedule?

No we don't. This is the first extended road trip that this club has taken. We have a member at the Lake of the Ozarks and we made a trip to his area last year. You may want to touch base with the MACC in KC, don't know how much cruising they do. The area in SW Missouri NW Arkansas is really great. All those roads are pretty good. If you go to Google, you can then go to Street View and see most all of it but Hwy 125, but it looks ok too. BTW - Hwy 125 - when you arrive at Bull Shoals Lake you will board a ferry across the lake to re-join Hwy 125. I've been across this ferry in a mini van and had plenty of clearance, but don't know on a Cobra. The rest of the roads are excellent, especially Hwy 21 to Hwy 62 in to Eureka Springs. I agree on the 2 trip idea. You could spend a day around Bull Shoals and a day in Eureka Springs.
