Feedback about CNC.Motorsports.com
Hello
The engine I bought three years a go die die during the setup (after ~10 mile). As the company which sold me the engine is not existing any more (seams to me), I'm now looking forward to find a trustful vendor.
--> I found a company which sounds interesting and I would now like to have some feedback from the users of this forum about them!
CNC.Motorsports.com

I'm interest on a 347 short block.
Many thanks for any feedback

They seem to do a lot of business and have been around awhile.
I'm interested how it turns out if you go with them.

cnc motorsports frequents another forum and he prides himself on his machine work and seems to be pretty knowledgeable, wouldn't hesitate to use him.
there's a guy around chicago who runs sbftech.com that does a lot of 347 work.
wouldn't hesitate to use keith craft either.
i put a window in a std. stroke 302 engine long time ago on the very last lap at heartland park during a road race. they don't like .060 overbore, maybe that is what yours had.

How soon are you needing it? I can do a 347 shortblock for you, no problem.

Keith Craft, Blykins, Performance Engineering. What caused the failure, it is ugly!! After 3 years of use or 10 miles?

I did buy the engine three years a go. It was stored until this winter where we started the project to change the engine and to add the Webbers on it.
It took so long as I had to organize some missing parts in the mean time.
I don’t need the engine urgent as I’ve still the “old” one back on my car. But if you send me some offers I can take it in to account when I’m looking to order the replacement after the summer has ended.
I’ve still no idea what caused this failure. As we where still on the step to setup the Webers! And at one day when we starter the engine at the morning. The starter made a half turn and the piston blocked.

Let me know what kind of application it's for. Is this just a street cruiser? A street/strip engine? Full race?
I just finished a 347 a few months ago for a local drag racer. A 347 is one of my favorite small blocks...nice lightweight rotating assembly, good power, and the parts won't break the bank.

I assume petrol in the sylinder caused ther block to crack.
Two years ago I managed to crack all 4 cylinders in one bank. The pistons went south, too. And the rods may need to be straightened.
