Default Part number for thick valve cover gasket?

I want to make sure I have enough clearance for the tall rollers on my 427w Boss engine. I would like to avoid the double gasket, so what is the brand and part number for a good extra thick gasket? Thanks in advance.

Just bought all rubber gasket with steel inserts from Summitt, .20" thick, part no. sum-G2321. It looks good quality. I originally used the Felpro thick one, and your right it is just two gaskets stacked on top of each other. They squished down to nothing leaked with my stamped steel covers.

Just get some gasket maker or other good automotive glue & glue the corky's together. Makes them as good as one.

Pick your poison.......great product:

Ford - 289-351 Windsor - Valve Cover Gaskets

Personally I use the 1st one. High quality cork 5/16 thick with locating tabs (which can be remove if unnecesary). This is the thickest I have been able to find.

I've been using one pair of Summit thick rubbers for 5 years...... Now one of them is leaking, and I have a new pair on the shelf.

I have been trying to source the FelPro 1613 gaskets from my local parts suppliers. Has FelPro quit making these? Nobody can seem to get a hit on the part number and the FelPro website doesn't list anything at 0.312" thickness (5/16"). The local speed shop can't even get anything any thicker than 3/16".

I hate to buy over the internet if I can get it locally.....if that's not possible, I'll probably go with the SCE #136076. At least it says those are 5/16" thick....hopefully that's each one, not the combined thickness of the two in the package.

[EDIT--I spoke with SCE's tech department...yes, the 5/16" thickness is for EACH gasket, not the combined thickness of both]

Valve Cover Gaskets for Ford 289-351W

Just a bit frustrated here.....

Cheers!
