Switch went bad-fan runs with ign off/on-got a part # from BDR but the cross over part I got was a 92-87 deg C, The switch I took out is a 82-68 Deg C switch. Does anyone know a part # or switch I can use that has the same thread 22/1.5 and degree setting? thx

They are available and made by Wahler.
Used on a lot of earlier VW Rabbits, Audi's and 924 Porsches.

Don't the newer BDR's fans run untill it cools down after you shut them off?

Having trouble finding a M22 x 1.5 in the correct temp range-what a PIA. I can't see letting the coolant get to 198 deg F before the fan kicks on.

Check the numbers stamped on it again. The range seems quite large, generally they are 5-6 degrees C. Here is on that will close at 180 F:

Jay

As usual-you gave me good info, the Beck Arnley 201 1545 I gave to NAPA originally-they crossed referenced another manufacturer and the part was not the same. So if anyone has the same issue be sure to look at the stamp on the switch before you install it...Thx!
