I have run lots of chev engines in projects but when it comes to a cobra I personally would not run anything but a ford. besides the fact some club activites will not let you run in there events without ford power.

Cool ford

yea i like fords myself, current project truck has a 347 stroker making 330 hp. i was just curious as chevy's are 2000-3000 dollars cheaper for similar set-ups.

Putting a Chevy in a Cobra is like passing out free condoms to pre-teenagers in front of a Cathedral. You can do it if you want to, but don't be surprised by the utter disgust expressed by the onlookers.

I really like the Chev engines and they are a great value. The Cobra is my first Ford powered car.

It is just wrong in a Cobra. Mine has an FE.

How many put a 460 in a Corvette? Sure, Chevy parts are cheaper, but that's not entirely what the car is about, and these days, things have become a bit more even.

V6? Not a bad choice, considering an Ecoboost delivers 400hp. Who's going to be the first? And do you want to park next to that guy at a show with a 4.3 under the hood?

There are better alternatives that push the leading edge.
