Default High port (inlet) heads and 302 manifold

For those who are more into it than myself: Can a 302 inlet manifold be used with some of the inlet high- port, even canted heads, on a 8.2 block?

For instance: SC1, C3, Brodix BF, Edelbrock Victor/ Glidden, World 10 deg, CFE... etc.

Spacers is what comes to mind. Both height and between heads and manifold, I'd guess.

I know alot of these heads have instructions saying use with specific manifolds. I'm curious, however, if it's psooble to use a stock pattern manifold.

Just an idea to go "out of the box" on a project.

I am a big fan of canted valve heads...have you considered an aftermarket intake like this Edelbrock (made for both 302W and 351W block sizes):

Edelbrock.com - Manifolds - Ford - Performer RPM - 351C/351M/400M

This would eliminate the need for spacers...although I have seen some spacers used to fit 302W sized intake manifolds to the 351W blocks.

Cheers!

Dugly

Sorry man but on an 8.2" block it wouldn't even be close. The only place that I know of currently make any sort of adapter like that is Price Motorsport and theirs are mostly to adapt intakes to higher deck blocks. The port, bolt and height missmatch between something like an SC1 and a normal Windsor/Cobra intake are huge.

The World 10 deg. requires a fabricated sheetmetal intake.

These Edelbrock inlets are for the Cleveland style heads, I figure. Those ar not at the top of my list of desierable heads, but an alternative to the stock 20 deg pattern & a platform for power, sure.

It looks like this combination of parts will involve fabricating spacers with a end result that might be less than ideal. However I figure it might be able, after alot of drawing, thinking & machining time.

Use of this kind of heads would require a new build form the bottom up, I figure. Not on the to- do list right now. Tempting for a future project, however.

Thanks
RS
