Any cam suggestions?
I would go with a hydraulic roller. Is your block drilled for a lifter spider or do you need to use link bar lifters? Whether or not you can get something off the shelf that will be suitable will depend on that.

For the specs, I would go with something a little on the lower side for duration to help with the port velocity of those heads. If you're aiming for more torque than horsepower, then the duration also needs to be cut down for that as well. I would aim for something around 228-230° @ .050", with a 4-6° split between intake and exhaust. 110 LSA on a 104 ICL, with .620-.630" lift.

Well I dropped off my engine at the machine shop. My machinist suggested I do a cam change similar to the specs blykins suggested he said it was a blower cam and then a bunch of mumbo jumbo I dont understand and to also keep everything as is and save up for a charger. Of course he will build anything I want but he said the charger would be the best bang for the $$. He also said with these heads and internals this engine will perform very well and could make in excess of 600 hp @around 12 psi (est). Sounds good to me so I think Im going to set it aside and save up some $$.

I will go ahead and install my 347 and tremec so I can get some seat time next season , worth the wait in my opinion.

If it is well prepped - get a blower!

He said it is prepped well and ready to rock. I am having him put new main bearings in just because its there. Also Im he is going to swap the cam (a little bigger). I will get the build done with the 347 , getsome seat time for a season and then next winter I will concentrate on the blower.
Thanks to all for the advice.

use the 3550 and sell or put the T-5 on the shelf .

We have a couple of 525 -620 hp motors with 3550 behind them. No problems!

For sure, I will use the 3550 no matter which way I end up going, Im going to sell all of the parts not used to recoupe some $$. This will be a street car only no track time Im sure, that would require free time away from.work.
