Default NGK spark plug heat range

Anyone has experience with this manufacturer? What heat range should be used as a starting point for 9,5:1 compression with Ford Duraspark Ignition?

I would start with a 6 or 7 (6 being hotter). But u can call or email NGK for better advice.

What reach plug do you require? Is it tapered seat or 14mm gasket style?

As a ball park figure, for every 100hp you add to the stock engine, you should drop one heat range from the stock recommended plug.

I ended up with the BCP7ES-11 (14mm gasket style). Engine is running strong, no fouling in stop and go also. Gap is set at 0.035"
