Default Different intake for 392 crate

Hey guys I recently purchased a Contemporary Cobra with Ford's 392 stroker motor in it and they took the Victor Jr intake off because they said it was too tall and they put a Offy 360 on there. Is there a better alternative than this ancient Offy I have with similar height? I've looked a lot for specs for the Offenhauser but can't find anything so I can compare its measurements to others. Thanks.

Edelbrock performer rpm should fit. Hop over to the edelbrock page and look at the dimensions that they list. You can compare.

Yeah I was kinda bouncing back and forth between the rpm performer and stealth intakes personally. There was a third made by a new company called 'professional products' named the typhoon but when I emailed them questions they never responded so screw em.

The Edelbrock Air Gap would suit your needs and sets lower than the Vic. Jr. Intake. Horsepower range is more in line with a street car also since it is a dual plane design as opposed to the Single plane in the Vic Jr. unit.
BTW- the Weiand Stealth is also a nice alternative as it is a copy of the Air Gap design.

You gotta watch about the Air Gap intake, it's pretty tall.

The Victor Jr for a 9.500" 351W is 5.75"/5.75".

The Air Gap is 5.31"/6.19", with an average carb pad height of 5.75".

If they did have trouble getting a Vic Jr to fit, you may have the same issues with an Air Gap.

Yeah I think anything with an air gap is pretty much off the table for me. Unless I want to cut a huge hole in the hood, which I absolutely don't lol.

I like the Stealth. We used one in the EMC one year and got very good average HP numbers.

The Professional Products I have used once. When I put the fitting in for the heater hose it pulled the threads out....before I even got it snug enough for a wrench. Then it pulled oil from the base because it was machined at the wrong angle.

I don't bother with them anymore.
