Default Edelbrock dual 4bbl. Air Gap intake.....

Have a 427 Dart based Windsor build, and would like to try this intake.but with Holley carbs. I have found a company that makes bolt on plenums about 3 inches tall for street use on the Weiand Hi Ram intakes for the 302.
Plan is to modify these to bolt on the the AG"s Carter/Eddy bolt pattern, and then mount the Holleys sideways from inline.
Question is will the Air Gap intake itself flow enough air for 500 FWHP on A 427 engine? Can't find any info on the performance capability of the dual quad Air Gap intake.
Getting the carbs on and tuned is the easy part, having done all my on carb tuning for years with A/F meters and having a well equipped shop for maching parts.
Anyone run this intake on large cube Windsor? It's a shame after all these years still not a tunnel ram intake out for large stroker Windsors!

Note...I have run this engine for 3 1/2 years now with the Super Victor intake with a highly modified 870 CFM Holley which has performed excellent for street/ strip in my '85 Mustang LX.

You will most likely lose some horsepower, is that ok?

Well it is mostly for hot street cruising, and maybe an easy run or two at the track. I always see how well the single carb AG works on SB stroker Chevies and on some big Windsors, after some port work.
However the runner layout looks to be a bit different, with shorter center runners opening into the long plenum.
The dual pnae intakes seem to like more plenum, taller, best results.

Problem with using this type 2x4 manifold with side ways mounted carbs is that all your primaries will be feeding predominately into just 4 cylinders----

If you are into fabbing up something you can gut out the center between all 8 holes and fab up a riser to the top your planning on using------------

Correct.

You CANNOT use that manifold with sideways mounted Holleys.

You'll have all primary barrels feeding 4 cylinders ONLY.
