When we had CSX 3121, we had a family rule; it did not leave the garage unless we saw 100 mph, sometimes before we left our residential neighborhood.

NYGuy, that's not my idea of excitement. I got that on the aerosmith ride at Disney. JMO

I've been in many electric cars over the years, every time I go to Great America with my niece to ride the bumper cars.

Didn't have to, not all the criteria to stomp it! were met -
  • Road conditions: ... on-coming traffic AND same direction traffic minimal.

Btw, now she wants me to teach her how to drive a standard, says when she gets older she wants to drive real man's car, what a cutie.

The car is not exactly inconspicuous with the noise it produces so for me there is a freeway onramp in bit of country area where you can stop, then nail it up to the speed limit of 70, or beyond if you want, and be fairly safe about it as the bulk of the ramp about 1/8 mile is on a side and not part of the freeway. I'm not a proponent of street racing (although that was not stated) or driving like you are on a raceway as I don't like when innocent people get involved in crashes ...seen videos of late model modded corvettes going sideways and heading off road in a hurry, motorcycles, etc. Stuff happens even to good drivers. Or the guy in the other car loses it and takes out someone, you are contributory .... Drags have cheap nights where you can really let it out and have fun and not have to worry about losing your license!

For me, stomping means a gradual roll, topped out at 100 mph, no other visible traffic around, water, slick roads, or other limitations. I don't do this very often with passengers and tone it down a bit with more gradual accelerations.

Freeway on-ramp, no traffic, 30-60 mph, 1 second of pure nirvana. Cheers.
