302 coolant leak
Been fighting coolant loss this year, finally did a pressure test. Fixed a couple of loose hose clamps, brought the pressure up to 18 psi. Pressure drops about 1 psi every 30 minutes or so.
While under pressure (engine cold), I am leaking from the back of the block. Coolant starts at the top of the oil pan, and drips down to the front of the bell housing. No evidence (that I can see) at the top of the engine - intake, heads, hoses, etc are all dry. Once the pressure on the system is released, the dripping stops.
I have not noticed coolant in the oil, or oil in the coolant. Had the coolant checked for exhaust gas last year - none. No white cloud while driving, but it does spit some water while warming up (clear, doesn't smell like coolant).
Hoping it's not a cracked block! Anyone experience this?
