Cruel to be kind, being honest up front doesn't hurt anyone if they learn.
I hope your mechanic has checked valve to piston clearance as a mockup build as I quoted how I do it in post 109.
Your valves are larger now, inlets by 80 thou, 1mm larger in radius.
I also don't like the use of a whizzer wheel across the deck surface.

Hey Gary ,
I appreciate the feedback. My mech has been doing this since I was in diapers. He is old school, the motors I see coming out of his shop are amazing. And Renos performance market is so small that if he had a bad rep for bad builds I'd hear about it. I trust him. Here is a link to his website, these our a few of the projects he puts together, a very well rounded mech.

Ok so need some valve cover suggestions.. The ones I had in mind are not tall enough. They don't clear the valve train.
You guys have suggestions? Looking for some unique ones that aren't as common as the "cobra" ones. The pic below are what I had in mind but don't fit.

Hey fellas,
Just updating you on the build.. It's getting closer, should be Dynoing this week. So now that it has compression, funny how the starter is struggling a bit to turn it over.. Lol
Here is the start of the Exhaust buildout before the new side pipe. Should be buttoned up soon, this thing is gonna sound nasty. I am excited to share the video clip once completed.

Ok so we fired up the little 302 recently after the build.. Waiting on some additional parts for exhaust, new plug wires etc.. But here's is the progress!
Dyno was suppose to be earlier last week, however weather played havoc on parts and trailering the cobra to the dyno. I'll keep posting more as I go.

Ok so dyno'd the Shelby.. 402hp rear wheel. The exhaust is by far my favorite part of the build, 4inch from header to end. Sounds beastly! Here's a few more photos. I pick it up today!!
Will be posting results and video soon, promise no death metal this time.. Lol

Nothing like driving your own creation, finishing each step is a milestone. The first time climbing into the car for a shakedown is a feeling you never forget these videos bring it all back. AC/DC sure adds to the excitement. Looking good.

Thanks guys, I really had a lot of fun with this. I've been lucky enough to drive it to work twice this week. Our weather has been in the high 60's low 70's and that's rare in Feburary.

Now go find some parking structures to cruise through and see how many car alarms you can set off!
