Supercharger Tuning Part 2
My other thread seems corrupted.
****cant post my pics wt heck***(
Anyway been tuning my 351W quickfuel 750 blowthru carb mated with a torqstorm centrifical blower for altitude in Dallas coming from Denver.
Car was pulling well from 1 to 4th but stumbling in 5th.
I will attach a picture of plug before I made recent changes but essentially they were showing possibly too much timing, gap to small, not big enough PV and maybe needed a larger sec jet change to begin with.
Here what I did so far and the plug pcs and vacuum reading after 20 mins of cruising.
After adjustments car ran much better and 5th seemed to improve too but it was sprinkling do I didnt want to push it.
Side notes:
plug#2 show hi temps but that was because when trimming carb hat boot to straighten inlet angle the metal clip was touch the plug at distrb causing an arc. Before I saw this the car ran like crab. I fixed it and car ran good.
Vacuum..I also ran the car up to temp and tested vacuum and it was showing 9 HGin. Is this right? I thought I should be running like 13. When blipping throttle it would climb smoothly then quickly adjust back to 9 so my PV at 4.5 should be spot on right?
Bowl levels. Do these look right?
