Lightbulb The right cam for my 48IDA system

Hello to everybody from Switzerland ! I'm in the process of installing my 48IDA system and I come up with a typical question: What cam should I use ? I think that the original cam that is currently running on my 347 is fine and would do a good job in connection with the 48IDA system: The specs are:

Advertised duration: 288 intake/288 exhaust
Duration @ .050 in. cam lift: 226 intake/226 exhaust
Gross valve lift: .512 intake/.512 exhaust
Lobe separation: 109 degrees intake/119 degrees exhaust
Peak horsepower rpm: 6,000
Peak torque rpm: 2,800
Fair idle

It's a Ford Motorsport roller tappets camshaft (M6250F303).

What is your oppinion ? Any help and suggestions are appreciated.

Best regards,

Default My new 48IDA system - Update

I decided to use the Ford Motorsport cam as specified above. Right know I'm waiting for some parts to be delivered by Summit racing/UPS next week. I will replace the mechanical gauges by electrical ones (Autometer). In addition to that I have to install a smaller distributor (MSD pro billet 8579). I already put the 48IDA system on the block in order to check the hood clearance - no problem !

I'm wondering how the initial jetting will work. I start with F5 emulsion tubes ! Any advice is highly appreciated. I know there are many Weber enthusiasts amongst us !

Sound and throttle response out of my 347 stroker (12.8:1 comp ratio) will be awesome (I hope) !

I have just added some new pictures to my gallery.

Best regards,
