Default 392W TorkerII or Performer RPM?

Recent dyno session is forcing me to shop for a few hard parts for my toy.
Hood clearance problems rule out the intake I would really prefer (RPM Air Gap), so it's down to the Edelbrock TorkerII or the Performer RPM.

Engine specs;
9.2/1 CR
Edelbrock #6025 heads
Crane Hyd. roller
650 DP Holley

Any opinions/recommendations????

Art,

I am running the Torker 11 on my stroker for the same hood clearance reasons you have. By the dyno I lost about 10-15 horsepower with it from the other intake but the car is so over powered for normal driving that it really isn't noticed. It did drop my RPM range a little too but is actually better for the way I drive the car than the other intake would have been.

I'm running a Victor Jr. Just lowered my motor mounts 2" so I can fit a decent air filter. My new oil pan is also only 6 1/2 " deep.

I have the Performer RPM on my 408W. Has Edelbrock Vic Jr heads.
I would have gone for the Vic Jr intake but for hood clearance problems.
Discounted the TorkerII as being too restrictive higher up the rpm range.

Engine is perfectly streetable, pulls like a train from tickover up, really gets into it's stride from 3000rpm. Rev limiter at 6000, but best results changing at 5500.
It doesn't really like WOT below 3000 tho', probably a touch over-carb'd with an 800cfm edelbrock.

A lot of it is down to your cam as well - which do you have?

I am just finishing my 408W and to solve the manifold/carb height problem I went to an EFI conversion. Force EFI took my victor Jr manifold and added fuel rails and injectors along with a throttle body which is 2.25 inches high. You can see my manifold on the www.force-efi.com website.
