Geo is derived from the profession from which I derive my living; Geologist (or did until the company was sold / now doing a little consulting work / anybody need a good geologist?). The cobra part is straight forward. I like both the cobra and the gt40, not sure which I want first.

Because

I love doin' it. I piddle around with stuff as a way of life. C'mon over any time and I'll be in the garage, piddling with building my 408W, or piddling with the chassis, or piddlin' with my R/C airplanes, or just standin, lookin around, pidlin'

casaleenie 02-20-2003 02:33 PM

I wasn't sure exactly what "Piddlin" was..
My mother-in-law "piddles" but she wears an adult diaper.

Definitely a difference between Piddlin' and piddle..

JoeLafives 02-20-2003 08:37 PM

Okay so mine's the same as my "alias" in Cowboy Action Shooting, which is my other passion. It comes from the name
Joe LeFors - a famous lawman (guy who got Tom Horn's confession and who trailed Butch and Sundance) but Joe LeFors was already taken so I added one. :)

CobERA 02-20-2003 09:34 PM

Shamelessly stole it when I saw it on a posting for vanity tags.:D

RAZOR 02-20-2003 09:52 PM

Way back when...our high school basketball team was in Key West for a game, and as I walked from the motel room to the pool  where most of the guys and cheerleaders:D were setting, out of the blue one of the guys yelled out, Rex Razor, from that time on I was Razor.

W2zero, well that is just a leftover from my Asian vacation of thirty-some years ago. On the radio I was Whiskey Two Zero and I have used the handle ever since.

Dad gave me the Fletch(er) part of it.

Procrastinator 03-03-2003 05:57 PM

I'll get around to explaining my name to you some day.

John A. Simpson 03-03-2003 07:31 PM

Mine has to do with an '82 Z/28 with a broken rear stabilizer link, talk about trailing throttle oversteer! Of course by that same reasoning one of my friends' name could be "Backwards in front of a Greyhound Bus on I-5". When I saw Tongue Pirates name I at first thought it said Torque Pirate and that sounds good too.

REAL 1 03-03-2003 07:58 PM

You guys REALly don't want me to explain this one do you?

I also am a radiologist and during my residency when you were on the fluoscopy rotation (upper GI series, barium enemas, etc) you were the Barium Boy and the staff radiologist was Captain Fluoro. Sort of a really twisted crime fighting team. Well, I'm no longer in my residency and although I am in private practice with no Barium Boys I now consider myself Captain Fluoro. Just remember: Barium cures all. :D
