I'm new to this forum, thought I'd use this thread to introduce myself.
I'm Alan, I live in Buckinghamshire, England in the UK.
My user name comes from the brand of kit and chassis of my car.
Great forum you have here.

Clutch Burner?...It was a name I came up with that I came up with after watching pieces of my clutch in my rear view mirror!

My wife has always indulged me when it comes to cars. Whenever I start talking about cars, my wife shakes her head and says “you’ve got the bug.”
In the early 80’s, I built and raced a G Production MG Midget in SCCA's San Francisco region.
In the early 90's, I raced an ITC Class Datsun 510. I ended up having a spectacular crash coming down the back stretch at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. I flipped the car multiple times. Luckily I walked away without a scratch, but came to the realization that unless I had more money than I knew what to do with, my racing days were over.
Two of my dream cars have always been the Porsche Speedster and the Cobra. In the late 90’s, I decided I really wanted a Speedster Replica, so I bought one from a guy in Orange County. The car was beautiful and fun to drive, but it was it gutless so I only kept it for a few years.
Well, fast forward a couple of years and the “bug has bitten” again. This time the Cobra Bug is biting at my wallet.....and I can’t wait!!

Obscure reference to my West Tennessee roots via Elvis and an odd art house movie, as well as taken from a line in an equally obscure b-side song from my favorite band, U2. Plus it just sounded cool.

Hi Alan, aka Ram427Cobra, welcome to CC, are you the same Ram427Cobra on CRC? I prowl around there under Fuzzy and it has been good fun, particularly with the Cobra Wars re. the Python...hope you enjoy your stay here, if you get a bit miffed with the American slang, give a hollar...

I raced for about 18 years, from formula Fords to Barber-Saab to Indy Lights. I stopped in 1996, my last race was at the Molson Indy in Toronto where I broke a ring and pinion on a restart. In that race Castro Neves and Tony Kanaan took each other out (and they were team mates). Christiano da Matta won the race.
The Indy Lights cars were awesome- 450hp in a 1370lb car and tons of torque. I still miss them.

My Black Lab named " Pete" was bit by a rattlesnake many years ago.
We both lived to talk about it and his name got longer.

New on this forum.
This is my first name, but as a Norweian it is a common name.
There are only 15 AC cobra's in Norway and not legal with kit cars. When mine got in to the country it was approved due to a mistake by the goverments (lucky me)
The car is a Unique 289 FIA (347 stroker from DSS racing with Paxton 93 supercharger and holley 950 commander FE)
