I spent my career designing and manufacturing drill bits for the oil and gas as well as blasthole mining industry. Within these industries they are called rock bits.

The following graphic is a heat map of the wear on a rock bit based on a drilling simulator that I wrote.

A nickname I was tagged with in High School. We were at a basketball tournament in Key West, I grew up in Central Florida, everyone was setting around swimming pool at the motel, as I walked out one of the guys yelled out Rex Razor, just out of the blue, from then on that's I was called.
