GoMarlins3= I am THE West Coast Marlins Fan. Yes, that's right I am the ONE fan they have. I've been a fan since April 5th, 1993, through the good (1997) and the bad (the rest). 3 is my favorite number.

When trying to register on this board, I tried everything with Cobra in it....... all were already taken, so I just stuck on my zip code.

Investigations Commander for State Police-sorta like the old Clint Eastwood character, though he and I don't seem to share many personality traits

Was originally going to be Carreradude(Other car guys christened me that) but it would not fit the AOL limit and would have become Carreradud! Not passable
So Carrerajohn was 1 to many so it became Carrerajon
Other Screen name is RADAR Old F4 call sign
Gotta love car guys, we all have such stories!
Thanks for all the fun

SNAKE was already taken by a friend's original 289 Cobra when I went after trick plates for my Cobra. The usual stuff dealing with 427 this and that was gone too. I had tried several lists with DMV to no avail.
Not long after the parts and pieces of my Contemporary arrived, I tried again and discovered that a Viper had crashed and A Snake was up for grabs.
I grabbed a handful of receipts for the engine and the certificate of origin and booked down to the DMV. After a little screwing around with the counter guy at DMV, I left with my title, temp. registration and a big "S" eating grin on my face.
Funny thing is, I actually had to renew the plates once, before I ever drove the darned car!!
The car's gone now, but I still have one of the plates up on the wall of my den, along with a picture of my son Ray, sitting in the car.
As to spamming, slurs and the like, I'm not hiding, the name is very sentimental now that both my Son and the car are gone.
As others have said in this thread, I'll tell it like it is, to you or about you and expect nothing but the same in return.....
Al
a.k.a. A Snake

When I joined Club Cobra, there were only a couple of dozen members and almost everyone was using their real names so I did the same thing.
We don't have vanity plates here but if we ever do get them, mine is going to be "2 MUCH". You know the old quote "Too much is just about right".

Mine's obvious - vanity plates say 'Cammer" - more commonly known as the 427 SOHC motor in my snake.

I joined just this year, 2006. I am constantly looking for information to plan an attack on a build. I come across many old threads full of information, and some very funny. IMAGINE is the name of my catamaran, pics posted, and FROLIC is the name of my monohull. Imagine is for John Lennon's song, and Frolic was named before I bought the boat. The # 2 is to replace to...imaginetofrolic, as compared to imagine2frolic, and I still own both.

"Blackjack" Was My Call Sign In The Air Force.
Thus My Car Numbers (Cobras, Gt-40 And Italia) Are All #21. When I Was Racing S.C.C.A. And Nortex In The 50's And 60's I Tried To Use #21 But I Couldn't Get It. Instead I Used #24 Which Was My College Football Jersey Number.
Y'all Have A Really Great Day.

ROUSH for the engine builder, and AC to give credit to Auto Carrier for coming up with the beautiful body shape.
