picking the right engine for my car

i'm still desciding on which engine to choose for my car......
i do know that i want a engine to run on pump gas, be able to smoke a corvette or acura NSX with no prob!!!! i'm other words FAST!!!!!!!! and also to lope, and lope loud....."sound like a real car"...know what i mean????
i'm giving great consideration to a 351W crate engine from ford crate engines as follows :http://www.fordcobraengines.com/cobrasp.html
the thing is that i own a mechanic shop and was hopeing to use the tax ID to save a few $, but from what i hear - engine for dollar, this is a great deal on a motor...... so what i'm askin is......should i just buy it?????? or buy parts here and there???? which would be cheaper???? or should i consider shopping other places???? any info would greatly help..

351 is MY personal choice for an engine. Keeps the Club Cranky guys smiling and the Gasholes confused. Sounds perfect.
