Spanky
I am writing this to let anyone who knew "Spanky" aka Hank Santos,
that he passed away February 7, 2003. Hank was a great guy and loved
driving and working on his car. Unfortunately we are forced to sell the car
and would appreciate any information on the value of the vehicle. The
car's specs can be found in his member profile.
Any questions and/or comments would be appreciated.

Spanky was a great guy.
I'm going to post this in the general section so more folks see it. You might want to check out www.CobraCountry.com and the for sale forums at this site and at the others ( www.cobraforum.com and www.ffrcobra.com) to get a range of prices.
Please post as much information as you can about the car--the manufacturer, engine, etc. Some pictures would help--digital would make it easier if you want to be able to post here and on any of the for sale forums.

It was only on 9-22-2002 I wrote the following...
DV, and others who will be attending next years festivities.
I have this idea in my mind, please speak yours as to what YOU think.
The 11 months and 27 days in between SPRING FLINGS we loose some beloved friends and family members. Some are very close friends, some are closer yet.
I thought, wouldn't it be a fitting salute of rememberance if on the first day of Spring Fling during our first gathering/staging if we all collectively turned our lights on, and on queue ran our engines to 3000 RPM real crisp like, and let them spool back.
We could do this as many times as the names we have lost during the year.
A video of this with the roar of 200 plus Cobras could be sent to their families.
Since most of are approaching ages of critical nature, I can see the number of times we have to rev up our motors becoming a rather a lengthy opening ceromony as the years go by.
It is concievable during DVSFXX the opening ceromonies could go on and on, some my need a ring job, and many probably will have to go refuel.
So be it! What better way to remember friends and families around this silly hobby of ours, than running out of gas at a gas station. They would have wanted it that way and probably laugh their a$$es of at us.
I hope I am one of the revvers, not the revees!
In respect to our friends of smaller persuassion, the SBs will be allowed to rev up to 5000 during the ceremonies, just to be heard.
What do you guys think?

On the same date Spanky reponded...
Turk,
That's a really nice touch. I'm sure it will be appreciated.

It shall be done.
We have lost some great family members over the last year, Ginny, Flyin' Freddies dad, Arcenios great brother n law, and I know others that I was not fortunate enough to meet.
Turk, if you and others, think our little London Bash on Saturday morning just before the day really starts, with everyone lined up is appropriate, then it shall be done.
We do what we can to save lives. We as family respect and miss the ones that we have lost.
DV..."WE" are family!

Ed,
To do it in dignified way will be our challenge. I think we can rise to the occasion, it is just that we leave no one out. While you are preparing for more festive things, we should make an attempt to leave no one out and maybe a small spot on your website for folks to add a name or two who should be remembered.
