Default Blue Thunder intake manifold

Have a 351C 4V with Edelbrock Torker and Holley 750cfm. Has anyone tried the MPG Cylinder Heads port plate kits which restrict exhaust ports?
Is the general consensus for my engine that Blue Thunder intake manifold is 'best'?
Finally, are there high quality carpet kits out there- I have a Shamrock which needs to upgraded to something of quality in Black.

thanks,
Ed

Best is dependent upon the rest of the engine and what it will be used
for. The Holley Strip Dominator is the best horsepower intake and works
smoothly across the rev range if the carb is properly sized and set up
(with a lumpy cam and single palne intake annular boosters are good, as
is a MSD multi-strike ignition). The Blue Thunder comes in second.
Both are better than the Torker. All three intakes were tested on a
friend's 377C stroker by his engine builder. Do not use port stuffers
with big port intakes unless you fill the intake port floor to match.
There are also some new race intakes from Australia but I have not used
them.

Not personally but I've been told by guys who have run them, they don't
work well if the header turns down at the exhaust port. On something
like a Cobra or a Pantera which have straight pipes out of the ports,
they might work and are worth a back-to-back test. One Pantera guy I
know ran the Stinger inserts and said they helped.

You've probably spent your money already, but I was looking at www.fordmuscle website the other day and spotted an intake shootout with dyno results which mentioned the Australian Funnelweb 3. I don't know if this is the one that Danial J is talking about, but it might be worth a look.
