Default Banged up oil pan ????

I whacked my oil pan on a speed bump at about 35mph and will need a new one. Ho real damage except my existing oil pan has the plug up front and it took the brunt. Small leak, still driving but need to replace it.

As for my question, the pan on my car appears to be a fox style pan or a later truck pan. It has two humps allowing a frame meber to pass underneath. However, there is no frame to clear.

Does it matter what oil pan I get to replace it?

Any suggestions for good oil pans?

I am not a racer, I just want a good oil pan without a whacked drain plug.

Yeah, pull it off and install a rear sump pan. If you find a stock pan, see if the drain plug is on the bottom. Good chance it is. We cut the bottom off and weld on a 3/16" flat stock steel and weld the bung on the side. Just make sure the sump doesn't bottom out on the pan. That thick piece on the pan takes a lot of abuse.
