Default New to site, want opinion on motor build

Well I'm new to this site and don't own a cobra, YET. Plans for near future for an FFR. I found this site and really like the input. With that out of the way I wanted some opinions on building a 302 for twin turbocharging? My plans are to use AFR 185 or 205 heads and a nitrous/blower cam. I want the power to come in a little later so all the tq doesn't overcome the car, something similar to a jap crotch rocket effect. What are your opinions on hydraulic rollers vs. mechanical rollers? I read that mechanical rollers aren't a problem anymore and that is what all the cars with DOHC use today. The car will be street strip driven reguarly and I want to be able to rev to 7000rpms but make power somewhere from 2200 -6200rpms. Also HV oil pump or not for this type of motor? Let me know what you think?

Thanks for your input and listening to someone without a car yet.

Don't worry about making too much torque, there is no such phenomena. (happiness is NOT being able to put your foot all the way in it until third gear) Why a cam made for blower applications if you are not running a blower? Mechanical cams are fine, just have to adjust the valves every once and a while, that's all. I am not a fan of HV oil pumps. Are you planning on stroking it to a 347, running EFI, please, a few more details of the intended combo.

I do not wish to stroke it. I want to keep it around 302ci. I thought about a blower cam because they have the same principle behind them as a turbo. It really is a forced air cam. Comp Cams sight recommends this type of cam. The pistons would be forged as well as all other internals. The motor would be fuel injected and compression would be around 8:5:1. Thanks for your response I appreciate it.

Just saw you said twin turbocharging, don't know how I missed that. You might want to talk to engine shops that have more experience in building turboed 5.0 motors, that's a whole can of worms you are opening there.
