Detonation Question...
Hey guys,
Got a quick question here. spent the last couple of weeks trying to chase down a (bad) oil leak on the new motor (shhhh!! its a chebie) I don't think I even want to tell you where it was when all was said and done anyway one of the places I thought it might be as I eliminated possibilities was that maybe the diaphragm in the fuel pump had gone and oil was being pushed out the small hole on the side. I took of that pump and put on a carter high volume pump that I had on the Avanti at one point. While it was on the Avanti I also had a regulator but did not install the regulator on the cobra for times sake. Now under acceleration there is some pretty good knocking going on could it be caused because of added fuel pressure??
Thanks,and have a good one,
Dan
