427 Windsor Stroker - alive at last!
I was able to witness the test firing of my new Southern Automotive stroker today. The project has been in process for several months with significant attention given to performance inhancements and cosmetic appeal. What a fine beast she is!

I've been blinded. Thankfully, you went with black plug wires .

Bill was out of stock on the hot pink wire. I was hoping for that "glow in the dark" effect.

Tony, I wish the journey was over, still got to get it back in the car. It has a lot more new parts than I was counting on. Watching the invoice on that baby is like watching the meter on a Paris taxi. It will be worth it.

Congrats Tony,
Your gonna love it!
I'm interested in the fuel line and filter setup from the fuel pump. What are you using?

If my eyes don't deceive me (and they may well do), the fuel filter in that piccy looks like one of those glass tube-body items.
I recall a post from a CC member a while ago, who had trouble with one of those, had a gas fire or major gas spillage, can't recall which. Summary of everyone's opinions at the time was to not use them, especially on the delivery (pressure) side of the fuel pump.
Would hate to see that beautiful motor damaged by a repeat incident.

Wilf, you are correct on the filter. I ran one of those on the last engine for several years without incidence. Everytime I look at it, I think of that thread you mentioned. I will need to replacement. With all the parts I've purchased during the last couple of months, one more thing makes me queezie.
Dave, that's the set up I had on my previous Windsor. As Wilf mentioned, there was a thread a few months ago where the concensus from those with bad experiences leads one to conclude that this is not the way to go. I will replace it sooner or later.

The glass body one I ran for a long time was OK, but it was made many years ago and may not be representative of what you can buy today (made in china). ALSO I had it on the suction side of the mechanical fuel pump, not the pressure side. I don't recommend them.

Tony,
Looks like Lewis and crew did a good job. Don't stop now get rid of that fuel filter. There are many good options out there that you WONT regret.

Why?
Just curious, but why the switch? I'm trying to decide between a 351 and a 393 stroker and I'm just wondering? Did your 351 hook up too easily, not enough torque in 3rd, 4th? 351 not tractable enough for driving/cruising? I'd appreciate specifics. What transmission and diff. (ratio) are you running? Thanks for the help.
