Default Gear drive for 351W, Noisy versus quiet

There is both a noisy and quiet gear drive up for auction on Ebay. The seller says that list price is the same for both. What's the difference? Which is better? Is this the way to go instead of using a chain?

Default GEAR DRIVE???

A Gear Drive setup is always superior (performance wise) to a chain. The difference between the noisy one verses the quit one is the way the gears mesh. I have one on my car and it is the "noisy" one. I prefer the way it sounds over the quiet one since I have a supercharger it actually enhances the sound of the car. Some people prefer the noisy one, some hate it. Its really up to you. listen to the thread titled; " ENGINE SOUNDS FROM ARIZONA COBRAS" #6 has a gear drive (NOISY) Gear Drive.....

Default

I have the noisy one and would prefer a quiet one,I feel it distracts from the natural sounds of the motor. chuck
