Question Insurance for my cobra

Try American Collectors Insurance in New Jersey. They offer comprehensive coverage for a limited mileage policy.

I use American National. The agent in Texas is an SPF owner and member of TCC. Great rates and they are super to deal with. Contact Dan Hardiman @ 903 597 5700. I pay less for my cars now (3) than I did for the two without the Cobra.

Neil: Call your local State Farm Agent. I and many others have full coverage, agreed value and even towing for under $300.00 a year. My A & C is insured for 40k and is listed as a 1967 Ford Cobra Replica. Ask them about their "Antique/Classic/Relica" insurance program. I believe it has a 4000 mile limit, but they do not enforce it. I couldn't believe it but it is true. Call them and check it out. Also, just do a search for State Farm on this site and I'm sure you will see others talk about it.
Anyway, how is you ride coming, post some pics.
Good Luck.
Jim

Neil;

I was a new Cobra owner in June 03 and I used Condon & Skelly out of New Jersey as the broker. 1-800-257-9496

They used MetLife and the premium was $420 for a $40,000 agreed value and 2500 miles. I did not do a lot of comparative shopping and although I thought the allowed milage was too low, it turned out to be enough. In CT the Cobra driving season is short.

The premium was a little high because I wanted $500,000/$300,000 coverages to fit within the Umbrella Policy I have with a different insurer on my other 3 cars. (who wouldn't insure the Cobra)

That's my .02

Chuck

I use state farm. Pay less than $300 per year, and has replacement value for the car.
