Unhappy All Gone

The 305 is no longer manufactured in the street 15" size by anyone (maybe Hoosier racing tires). All known retail stocks are gone. Coker has no plans at for that size at this time.

Regrets......

Thumbs up Goodyear Vintage Sports Car Specials

Just got Goodyear's racing tire catalog at the PRI Show. They list two big-letter tires for the Cobra. Although they use the old size designations, i.e., 26.5X8-15 and 26.5x10.0-15, these translate to 50 series/280mm wide and 45 series/328mm wide tires.

Product Codes/prices are 807-073-068 for $193 and 807-481-068 for $200, respectively.

Tom:

Will those 345s fit under the fenders of your cars?

p.s, Did you get a high speed internet connection from Santa? I have noticed that you have been posting more frequently lately. It is a very welcomed thing! Please keep contributing to the discussions on this site, your input is greatly appreciated.

Lew I dont think so... The biggest problem is their is no front tire to match them to. If their was a front tire I would figure out how to make them work. That is a fantastic tire. If only their was a matching front tire.

I have a high speed at home. Still at work with a crappy line. David just let me play a little today.

Tom:

How about pairing the 345/35 Pirrelli with a 245/50 Dunlop SP8000? The Pirrelli has an O.D. of 24.9 inches and the Dunlop an O.D. of 24.7. I know that the tires are not exactly matched, but wouldn't the combo, while not perfect, be better than the BFG T/A Radials or the Dunlop GT Qualifiers?

I am very nervous about mix matching tires. It would probably be a great set up. But I have no way of knowing without trying them out. Hmmmmm sounds like a great experiment this spring...

I would be happy to have my car serve as test mule/guinea pig as long as you don't use it for the dent repair demo at the Summit.
