I have a 64' 289 short block that I'm not going to use. This is the block with the 5 bolt bellhousing. It has 0 miles on a standard(not high performance) 40 over rebuild.

Allen:
I have 1970 Boss 302 block I've owned since new. I ran it in my GT 350R in an SCCA National race at Phoenix in 1970 1 time. I also have a set of Correct Cast Iron 289 race heads that are also new and bought for that engine. We couldn't run the Boss Head and be legal. They have 58cc chambers, big valves, ported polished etc. by Mondello Head Service everything as correct for FIA and SCCA Production race Specs. of the era. I also have a new set of Hi-PO 289 rods, shot peened, sized and ready to go+ a Crank. These rods are extremely strong and will take 7000rpm+. We used to put 6 race weekends on a motor before rebuilds. I was going to put it all together and do an FIA Kirkham car, But I changed my mind and bought a 427 instead. Like I say I've owned these parts since the day they came over counter. Block, Heads, Rods, New JE Pistons all checked and reworked for assembly by Slade Racing Engines in Salinas CA.
