Take a closer look. The "J" should be a number, not a letter.

Howdy,
?L30.....Dec. 30. The first one is a number, like 9L30, which would mean Dec 30, 19?9, could be '69 or '79 or '89, etc. If it's a FE, it'll be '69, a roller cam 5.0, '89.

there is a 351W roller on EBAY with this date code
i know it has to be 94 to 98 because that was the only years they were produced but the date code threw me.
were all the 351W called F4TE i.e. 94 truck engine for that era?
thanks
i want to bid on this block as Waco, TX is only 6 hours and i can go pick it up, but i would like to know more about it.

The code F4TE stands for
F........199?
4........xxx4 as in 1994
T........Truck
E........Engineering
It could be a 1994 to '98. It will be alest a '94 model based on the F4TE block code. I would guess that all the 5.8/351W roller cam blocks were block code # F4TE.

P.S. You need to up your bid, you haven't beat his reserve yet.

i upped (is that a word) my bid but it kept putting in my low ball bid. i never have figured out on ebay how to meet the reserve by myself. i guess this is a lesson in self flagellation.
i would like to get the roller block so i could put an XE282HR cam into it, with my trick flow twisted wedge 2.02 s that thing should hiss.
i am trying to get my mustang GT ready for the Mustangs Across America run in April, but I am only a few hours from Waco (the Karesh BBQ town) and I could run down and pick up the block.
we get the schedule for Red River Raceway this weekend and it is time to start marking up the calendar.
thanks for your help
tom
