Default Choice of head

I have had some Victor Junior 64cc heads on order for 3 months and no joy. I also need cheering up as we got stuffed by Portugal at Football last night. humph

I need to choose a comparable or better head for my 415 Chevy Mowtown as its holding me back now.

Can anybody help avise me.

From a previous post, I was advised that the AFR heads are difficult to get hold of within a short time, is this still your experience.

Alternatively what is your opinion on the next best head to choose for the mowtown/chevy. Trickoflow etc etc.

I need to order asap and my experience is limited here so I would appreciate your feedback.

I want fast road and crisp acceleration rather than pure top end although best of both would be ideal.

As always thanks again guys

Mike

For the money you can't get much better than AFR heads.

It can be

If you want one that really opens up and screams when you get to the top end go for the blonde.

If you want one that flows really well with bigger inlets go brunette.

No seriously some advice on an alternative would be helpful unless you know where I can get AFR,s from reasonably quickly

Mike.

Mike,

AFR is the way to go and yes stock is hard to find but they are worth it. Here's some info that should help you out.

Call or e-mail this person, he works at AFR and will be able to get you the right info on what AFR head you need and also point you in the direction of a dealer that "has them in stock".

You should contact Dave Kubert at AFR. Phone (818) 890-0616 ext 111. E-mail address is: dkubert@airflowresearch.com

Tell him Scott from Classic Chevy 5-Speed referred you over. Hope it helps you out.
