Not Ranked
<<Why are you mixing?
What engine, head, cam, intake... Stuff do you have?
Why not put 1.6 on both?
Just a question.>>
well first of all, im not mixing. im wondering why someone WOULD mix them. i've seen plenty of sets online that have them mismatched like this. no claims of performance gains...just sold like it was a regular package to suit your needs. so i was wondering... if in the event someone chose to mix them, what kind of characteristics would it yield? better performance maybe? (how?) its just something i ran across that made me question its purpose. also, im running an sbc 357 (.040 over), 2.02/1.6 heads /w screw in studs, guidplates, bronze valve guides, 5 angle valve job, and 72cc chamber. yielding about 9.4:1 compression total. comp cams XE268, Edelbrock Air gap rpm /w 600cfm 4 barrel. aftermarket HEI with MSD ignition module and 55,000V coil, newest accel 8mm high heat wires. ideal shifting point is about 5,500rpm and should make around 320-335hp at the wheels, according to software dyno calculations. so yea, any ideas on any possible benefits of mixing intake/exhaust ratios?
