Default Restrictors in 351 C, Yes or No??

All Cleveland drivers,

my engine is pulled now(see distributor gear destroyed...) and we are going to dismantle it.

My question:

I'm using the Moroso restrictor kit #2205 in the mains because of old articles published in old Hot Rod articles and other pupular engine books from the 70s.

Now it would be the time to remove the restrictors if they are not really needed(we have some doubts)!!!???

Cleveland drivers and builders, what's Your expert knowledge using this restrictor kit????

The next planed action ist to run a external oil line from the oil pressure sender hole near the filter to the rear upper hole behind the manifold using a "T" connector there because this is my mech. oil pressure port at the moment.

Cheers,

Uwe

Leave them, there is no problem as long as they are correctly installed. I wouldn't let a dist. gear problem make the restrictors a source of concern. I've put over 30,000 miles on an engine using them with no mishaps.

I don't have them in mine. I have always heard if you usa a hi-volume pump and don't turn a Cleveland over 7,000 rpm they are not needed. At the same time, I don't think they will hurt either.
