Question Ignition update, need some recommendations!

During the upcomming winter I'm going to update my 351c ignition.

The mallory unilite distributor is running well now but I don't trust in it because of its simple designed cap fixation(I lost the locating pin at driving!!), bearings, baseplate and advance machanism.

Target:
A complete new system with better distributor(ball bearing at top and breakerless as a must). A new timing with start retard function, multible spark and rev limiter along with a new coil.

I started the work with organizing a new Holley/ MSD, billet magnetic distributor out of the annihilator series. A friend of mine gave me a Holley Lasershot Ignition Pro Coil as a present on top.

Now I'm going for the ignition box. In my opinion it should be a relaible, prooved system as the MSD 6 AL together with a start and/or high rev retard module.

Maybe out there are some recommendations for alternative models or eventually a system which has all functions included maybe with an additional retard function for higher revs?

The engine is a modified 351C with 11:1 CR, see the pics in my gallery.

Thanks in advance,

Uwe

I would take a look at the MSD Digital 6 plus ignition. It has built in rev limiters, start retards, etc. Also the Pro Billet dist and pro cap.
