Default SBF Bellhousing for a T-5

Looking for a bellhousing for my 302ci to mate up to a T-5.

Anyone know of a decently priced one on the market or just your preference?

I have one that had a Tremec 3550 bolted to it . Is it the same as the T-5 bolt pattern?
For sale cheap.

Cranky it should be. Basically the same configuration is used in both transmissions at the bell housing

T-5, and Tremec bellhousings are DIFFERENT, and not interchangable.

Virtually all 302/5.0, T-5 equipped Fords used the same bellhousing so they are plentyful in salvage yards.

Ford Racing, as well as other sources sell bellhousings specific for the Tremec trans and 302/351W motors.

Take a look on eBay. There are usually a number of T-5 bell housings listed. Make sure when you buy one that the fork pivot ball is included so you don't have to go and buy one. Choose a bellhousing from a 1986-93 302 motor. Then you can use the fork, clutch, flywheel, cable, etc. from the same years to complete the installation. Just be sure to match the flywheel imbalance to your motor.

Jack 21 not disputing your knowledge but fwiw I changed out my T-5 to a Tremec 3550 and had no problem...engine is a early (Jan)'67 hi-po 289, the bell housing is from 80's Mustang.

Bolted right up

Two years ago, I pulled my T-5 off of my 351 (was using an '88 bellhousing and T-5) and switched it for a Tremec 3550. I had to buy a new bellhousing. I'm not certain if the depth is different or not. Never checked the bolt pattern. But the bellhousings did look different.
Don't know if this helps, but it would be worth investigating further. Maybe go somwhere that has both bellhousings and compare them.
