Hey Little Cobra is a good song but...
I'm a big fan of the Cobra and The Rip Chords and all the good time music from the 50-mid 60's but I was researching music by Jan And Dean,The Beach Boys,Ronny And The Daytonas,Paul Revre And The raiders,and finally The Rip Chords. I found this very rare song by them (Wah-Wahini )recored in1964 and then publish in 1994. Its a short clip of it it really has a good beat and has good words and meening . Well here you are tell me what you think??? Guys the song again is called "Wah-Wahini " Its half way down on the page.

alright, cute enough. Got the stringy hair, works on my car, but the natural blonde part is kinda tricky. Walks kinda WHAT? Don't think I have that part.... 
I could have my hair fixed all nice, and after a nice little drive, wow, gone! curly strings!!

hey, g, I ate, I looked ALL OVER the web and just could not find the lyrics to the wah wahini song. I mean all over! I might just have to break down and buy the 3 window coupe cd and copy them down for you.

It is not a secret that Wah-wahini was rerecorded with the Hey Little Cobra words and some small nuance changes as required. Both had a great beat, naturally.

well, the wah-wahini song was not released on the 1st release of 3 window coupe. The album was re-released in '96, and at that time 3 'bonus tracks' were included. Now this may not be entirely true, but this is what i gathered doing my hunting for the lyrics last night....
my HUBBY has something to play it on, but we don't have that album!
wah-wahini is the flip side of 'topless one piece bathing suit' or something like that, as a 45. (I know some people here will not know what a 45 is!) Anyway, give me some time and I'll keep looking. If somebody else finds it first, post it! there are sites all over with the cd's, but not the lyrics to it. Lots of lyric sites with Hey little cobra, tho'.

Are you sure it wasn't on a 78 or 33 1/3rd??? I have the turn table that will play all of those, just don't have the albums. I also don't have any more 8 track tapes.

I bought my wife one of these for xmas as we did not have a turn table.. real handy to use for those old records.. I got one from Circuit City for $99 it was a no name brand but works good enough.. only 2.5 watts per channel.. plays c/d cassete/ lp"s and am-fm.. have to manually set needle on record then it has a auto return.. check out the Teac 600 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

After a long weekend hearing the Rip Chords sing/play most everything off key, too loud and play the same songs over and over and over again, somewhat badly, especially Hey Little Cobra, it sort of ruined their music for me. Just like hearing the Beach Boys.  |

well, I'm back. Vette eater: sorry, strikeout here. I have been on a 'mission' to find this song. so far, been to: sam goody- yeah, they'll order it, $20 plus 5 bucks to order too much money! Circuit city will order it too. Or was that best buy? Went to all 3. Plus, half price books (near me) and to a specialty old record store.... I did pick up another copy of Hot rod usa, with hey little cobra.... also, a weird flea market, but no copy there. Spent an hour on the phone with my brother in Seattle, trying to find the lyrics at all the lyric.com type sites. no luck. In fact, the 29 seconds at amazon was the same music as the 30 seconds I heard at some other site, can't remember now.... so, I'd recommend ordering the cd from amazon. I've been checking ebay, and there aren't any '3 window coupe' cds on sale, for now.... At some point i will probably buy one, ebay or stumble across it, and if I do, I'll let you know. I'm in dallas, and somebody told me about this big, old record store in north Dallas. When I get a chance, I might call or go up there and see if they have it. the quest is on!!!
