Default HELP - Cobra Valve Covers for a 351C

Is there anyone who knows where I can get the nice Cobra style valve covers that the 302s and 351Ws usually have/use (the aluminum finned ones that say C O B R A across the top)?? Maybe some of the Australian guys know where I can get some since they still favor the 351C down under?? MANY THANKS!!!

Default Nobody Makes Them.

Jim:

I went through that search last year. Nobody makes them. However, there is a guy in Michigan thats has the molds from Ford and makes his own Chromed Valve Covers. He might be able to make a set for you. If you send me your email, I'll send you his address and a picture of the ones he made for me. These were not "stickem" labels on the covers but raised emblems and they came out really nice. I paid about $125. for them.

I've reposted this since I'd like to have the nice aluminum valve covers. Bummer that the 351C seems to be such an "irregular" engine in the cobras and there aren't a lot of cool parts for them (like the VCs and 2x4bbl maniforlds).

Jim, you don't like the finned Ford Motorsports ones with the 'pent roof' shape to them?

Default Ooops sorry.

Jim:

I just sent you an email with the information you requested. I had a couple of direct inquiries and i answered them with the information and forget to respond to your original post. Sorry bout that.

BTW: I think i have nice set of original, heavy cast aluminum Finned valve covers for a 351C, if you're interested. I believe they are Weiand's and i can take a picture of them for you if you're interested.

Jim,

have a look at my pics.

I have a pair of finned Shelby covers on top of my Cleveland.

They look more or less the same as the 427 "Shelby" Valvecovers

They will add some kind of "original touch" to your engine and should be availlable from time to time.

They are the same as the finned Ford Motorsport Pent Roof Covers but with the Shelby Logo on!!

So maybe a Ford Motorsport Dealer/Specialist can help You find a pair.

Greetings from Germany,

Uwe

Jim

Try Tony Branda at www.cobranda.com
He has Polished CHrome wrinkle with 351 cleveland stamped
in the middle of the cover. They look very nice. There are no COBRA stamps unless you get them specially made.
