Check your cap first, but...
If the cooling system recovers the whole lot of the puke tank + some air... well you shurly do need a larger capacity recovery tank! The best way that I could sugest is to measure how much extra coolent is needed to top up the system when it is cold. And then add that amount to the capasity of your existing tank, pluss add about an extra 300 mills (1/2 pint). this would give you a working sized puke tank for your system.
