Default aussie heads march bracket doesn't work

Help, please. some one set me streight . got a 351, 73' stroked to 402 miladon 8 or 9 qt.pan will the dip stick work in the timing chain cover?and will the height of the oil line on the stick be correct? Also i bought some alum heads that are supossed to be copies of edelbrock vic jr.but the March alt bracket doesnt fit by about 1/4 inch. Its too short for bolts to line up.All the radiator hoses wont fit around the stock aluminum alt mount . Is there a drivers side alt set up tha doesnt cost 300 bucks ?ARRUGG, WHAT DO I DO ?

okay I am running the Pro Comp auss heads and I had no problems with mounting my alt. if these are the heads you are running let me know. I will take pics of the brackets and get them to you. My alt is mounted on the pass side. simple to change over. I had to due to the fact the rad hoses were causing problems.

How do you guys like those heads? Is there any additional prep work other than the usual to get them ready to use or install?

Rick,
Mine were ported and pollished when the build took place. but the bench flow numbers were actually better then the edlbrock heads they mimick

i have not fired the engine yet because of the problems ie.waterpump ,alt.alignment and hose conflict.the only problem i had is the exaust ports are square and leave only a 1/16 "between the port and header bolt.b and b's custom headers are very poorly made and dont aline well defeating the purpose of large tube headers and ports.

I posted pics of the alt in my galleries.
I have several build binders on the car that I have to go thru and find the part number.
the top is just a plate that bolts to the head and the alt bolt threads into that. the bottom is just a slide adjustment bar that bolts to the water pump.
My water pump dumps out on the drivers side I had to go that route because the classic rads lower hose is on that side
