It died....
the new crane dizzy 1000-1605, ordered from summit, died. What happend? After the installation it did fine and the engine run great.
After a while the engine began to run rough and rougher, died finally and so i started checking for gremlins.
Result: The rotor cover was broken apart and let all the internal parts (centre contact, small brass rod, tip-contact) free. The different parts fell down, the stainless steel trigger disk picked them up, turned them arround and tried to push them trough the optical sensor. Damaged......the electronic module is gone.
The rotor is covered by a small plastic cover which holds the internal parts in place. This cover itself is attached to the rotor by two welding studs which shoud be melted down.
The root cause was the incorrect melted down studs which coudn'd keep the cover in place during the higher revs.....
A other small thing that i noticed is the fact that the dizzy shaft is kept very tight in the lower bearing, different to all other dizzys i used in the past.
The shaft can't align itself because of the missing end play you can find on any other distributor. Therefore the shaft has small surrounding wear marks on its perimeter where it is sitting and spinning in the block.
I don't feel confident with that dizzy
