Default Aluminum intake torque spec's

Looking for the torque spec's for one using ARP bolts with an aluminum intake manifold (air Gap) with SVO aluminum ford heads.

I also assume the tighting sequence to be the same a cast iron?

I started at 16ftlbs and then re-tightened to 20ftlbs after warm-up and cool down. Sequence is starting in the center and working across and outward to the corners.

What do the specs say for your manifold RE: torque and pattern? Bolts do not matter whether they are ARP or Radio Shack Specials.
What matters is the torque and the pattern. Some manifolds require a different tightening sequence depending on MFG.

Once tightened warm the engine to operating temp checking for leaks, shut down.. then while engine is warm retighten to specs. Some say 3-5lbs more torque, others say to specs ... your choice.

I haven't warped an alum head or a manifold following this procedure and hve done it to MFG specs. But I'm not a mechanic either.

Oh, THAT kind of torque. For a minute there I thought you meant to imply that small blocks actually have torque.
