Question What Distributor Cap To Get?

I need to get a new distributor cap and rotor. I would like to get brass terminals. Orginal one that came with the motor is a little burnt on the terminals. Could not find any info on the distributor for cross ref info. What replacement caps are you using, and where is the best place to get them?

I looked at Summit and found one made by Accel #ACC-8347. Will this work/fit? Any good?

I have a basic Ford Racing Crate motor 392 stroker.

Thanks!

If you can, Take it to your local parts houose & see if you can match it up with something. A good parts guy can recommend the best quality cap.

Both MSD and Accel have brass treminals, So does KEM and NAPA. DO as TP said and match it up. Brass terminals are a good idea.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll take it off and go over to the local Napa store. Maybe they can tell me what it is and give me a part # for the distributor. If the Napa cap is as good as any other, I'll by one of their's.

MSD has a cap for that. I don't have the part number on the top of my head, but you can search it on summit racing pretty easy.

This is a Accel part and I got mine from Summit. None of the hot rod shops/parts places in Houston had them in stock.
The cap is part number Accel #120404 - Summit price $46.99
The Rotor is part number A130404- and is for 59 series Ford Summit price $29.99
Hope this helps

Mark
