Default Flywheel position make a difference?

I'm re-installing my flywheel and I cannot find my mark to put it back in the same place. Am I in trouble? If so, how do I fix it so balance is not messed up? Will engine balance be affected if I install it wrong?

Its a steel 157 tooth Ford Motor Sport flywheel on a 392 FMS crate engine. It has a 4" weight on the front side of the wheel. I read the Ford Motor sport web site and it lists several different types of flywheels, but I could not find any notes, warnings or cautions about installation and balance.

Please give me your advice!

Thanks,
Tom

Don't worry. Just place the flywheel on the hub and rotate until all the bolt holes line up perfectly. The bolt holes are slightly misaligned to avoid attaching the flywheel in the wrong position. It's difficult to see the misalignment by just looking at it. While I'm on a roll here, be SURE to coat the bolts with a thread sealer before screwing them in. Oil leaks can occur through unsealed threads.

Superhart:

Thank you very much for the good news! It's me proof. Even I couldn't screw it up.
