Anyone care to guess at the horsepower this one will put out?
My newest build is a 445ci Windsor stroker based on a Dart Sportsman block with a 4.155" bore and a 4.100" stroke. Scat forged crank, scat H-beam rods, and Probe pistons. Keith Craft is doing the block work for me.
The heads are TFS CNC Twisted Wedge R heads, which have been drop shipped to Joe Craine for massaging and flow testing. Out of the box, these heads are supposed to flow 330cfm @ .600", so I'm very confident they will work well on this application. They are 225cc heads with 2.08" intake valves and 1.60" exhaust valves.
The cam is a Comp custom hydraulic roller, with a 294/298 advertised duration, 166/169 duration at .200", and 244/248 duration at .050". Lift is .615"/.621".
The intake is an Edelbrock Super Victor intake.
Compression will be 10.7:1, with an 8.15:1 DCR.
The cam may be a little lacking for this size engine, but it's going in a heavier car than a Cobra and I want it to have plenty of low/mid range grunt.
I'm shooting for 600hp/600lb-ft....

550Hp and 535 TQ
I'm staying to the low side on my guess. In any case, it sound like you will have one great engine.

My old 408 was at 615 but with a much bigger cam than you have chosen. I would guess your at the 550+ range.
Don't need no big block.

The cam was a special grind
Bullet 670 lift and 266-274 I-X @.050 solid roller
Made all it's power up high 6,600 but would not run on pump gas.
The heads were out of the box AFR 205's
I have since detuned and now am around 500HP

It's a small block, couldn't possibly break 300 horse max.

Blykins I dont know if James Yale had a build site for his Daytona or not but that engine your doing is going to be very stout ,I know james found a 100 hp just using the BB 4into 1 headrs instead of the quad pipes the Daytonas have it was all tested ther on Crafts Dynos.sounds like fun WB3

I"m going to play my "The Price is Right" card and guess 581 HP/571 TQ.
Actually, given the displacement and components you mentioned I honestly think you have a really good chance of eclipsing the 600HP barrier.

If we're playing the Price is Right, then I guess $1!

The only thing I'm unsure about is the camshaft. I want to have a great deal of good manners on the street, but I don't want an RV either.
It's hard to find examples of setups like this one on the web...so I have nothing to compare against.
Probably the closest comparison I have is this one :
World 460 All-Aluminum Windsor
Now granted, it's 15ci larger than mine, but I think I may have the edge with my cylinder heads. This 460W also has a pretty stout cam....254/260 @ .050. That's kinda what makes me think I'm not choosing a large enough camshaft.
Thoughts?
